by I only spent around $150 on souvenirs between some fancy outfits and a couple wood sculptures. I bought all my outfits in Douala and all the wood carvings in Yaoundé but you can find awesome souvenirs all over Central Africa.
The one problem with buying lots of funky African outfits like the ones I bought is that you might not wear them much after the mission. Granted I did wear some of my African clothes for Halloween once that was the only time so think twice before lots of African clothes.
